Opening Doors
for
Students

Arts and culture can transform young people’s lives, yet only 17% of our students receive the required music, art, dance, and theatre in NYC. We are here to change that.

As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, Situation Project has opened doors for 100,000+ underserved families, helping them grow and thrive through world-class arts and cultural experiences.

Nonprofits & Schools

Together, we can reimagine the future, foster a sense of belonging, and close the experience gap.

“It builds a unique confidence. I don't want them sitting in high school or college, feeling like less of a person because they've never seen a musical and can't talk about it.”

Beyond the Classroom

When kids experience arts and culture, they thrive. However, many NYC-area public school students don’t have access to these opportunities due to inequities and cuts in budgets for arts. We’re here to change that by opening doors for kids through extraordinary experiences outside of the classroom.

Studies show that exposure to the arts can lead to positive outcomes, including:

  • Enhanced critical thinking skills

  • Improved mental health

  • Better understanding of other cultures

  • More likely to be civically engaged

  • Increased self-esteem
